Stedman Corporate Clothing Selects Fullers as Garment Hanging Experts

garment-hanging-header

Fullers Logistics provide a flexible warehousing, logistics and fulfilment service to Stedman Corporate Clothing; a high-quality corporate wear company for organisations that require professionally tailored uniforms and business wear for staff.

From cosmetic companies, to small airlines and house builders, Stedman cover the breadth of the UK and has provided bespoke and ready-to-wear garments for 30 years. With a focus on exceptional personal service and quality garments, the business is going from strength to strength.

As a family-run business, Stedman wanted to find a fulfilment partner that not only understood their challenges and had the ability to manage their hanging garment requirements, but also had a genuine interest in what they did and shared similar company values.

“Our previous logistics partner was closing, and we needed to find a new partner who would provide a smooth transition and understand our business so that the integration was as seamless as possible,” explains Teresa Stedman, Managing Director of Stedman Corporate Clothing. “We researched the marketplace and put enquiries out to different third-party logistics providers. It was important to us that the warehouse was accessible from our office for annual stock checks and we wanted to ensure a personal level of service was maintained. It soon became clear that Fullers is the best fit for our requirements and offer us that element of care and attention to detail that allows us to focus on providing a quality service to our clients.”

The essential fulfilment requirement for Stedman is that much of the clothing is not folded, instead it must be transported on hangers to ensure that each item arrives with the client in pristine condition. The team at Fullers are experts in unloading specialised transport vehicles for hanging garments to ensure that that this part of the operation is run safely, efficiently and without the risk of any damage to Stedman’s garments.

Fullers Logistics provides a multi-channel fulfilment service to MAD Design Group UK Ltd, which includes goods in, storage, pick and pack, and despatch.

MAD Design Group, make and manufacture environmentally friendly bioethanol fireplaces which can be used without the need of a chimney or flue. With a focus on the retail and hospitality in the UK and European market, MAD Design Group can do anything from tackling a new commercial project, creating a unique residential outdoor or indoor feature, or remodelling an existing fireplace to make their customers’ vision a reality.

Matthew Goom, Director at Mad Design Group explains, “We moved our fulfilment to Fullers a number of months ago because having known some of the team for a while I was confident that they would offer us a high standard of service and configure the warehouse space and requirements around our needs and I can honestly say we have not been disappointed. Fullers have exceeded all of our expectations.”

Fullers recommended using one of its multi-user warehousing solutions in Bordon and configured the space to meet MAD Design Group’s needs. The multi-user option also provides a flexible storage solution for MAD Design Group, so they can easily scale when there are spikes in demand and extend the space as the brand grows its presence in the UK, Europe and Globally if necessary.

“An integrated warehouse management system provides MAD Design Group with complete visibility of stock volumes to ensure seamless production and onward distribution of their EcoSmart fireplaces,” comments Tony Dempsey, Divisional Managing Director at Fullers Logistics. “This helps to integrate the supply chain process and speed up the time from putting an order into the system and getting it out for delivery.”

As orders are received via an ecommerce platform, products are picked, packed and distributed to the customer. Fullers warehouse management system provides MAD Design with 24/7 access to reports about stock movement & availability, enabling improved management and visibility across their sales channels.

Matthew Goom concludes, “Fullers really do take care of our products and go above and beyond whenever a rare scenario happens, or a last-minute delivery comes in. Nothing is ever too much trouble and it’s fantastic to have a supplier that is proactive on our behalf so that we can concentrate on growing our business.”

Sprayground pack up their troubles with Fullers!

sprayground-video-2

Fullers Logistics provide a bespoke storage, handling & distribution service to Sprayground which includes goods in, storage, pick, pack and despatch.

Sprayground are a rebel backpack company that have evolved into a high quality, global brand with excellent brand awareness, very dedicated fans and repeat customers, many of whom are collectors. Imported from the USA, the backpacks offer unique custom designs in limited edition quantities. In addition to being sold through the company’s incredibly busy e-commerce website, the brand is also stocked at a shop in Box Park, Shoreditch and is distributed to wholesalers and via events around the UK.

Julie Butler, Director at Sprayground explains, “With a premium brand that strives to keep pushing the envelope of creativity, we needed to find a logistics partner that would be able to seamlessly deal with pick, pack and fulfilment across the multiple channels of our business, so we could focus on customer service and product innovation – that’s when we found Fullers.”

Being a small business in the UK market, Sprayground wanted to find a partner that were interested in what they did and had the capability to and understand their challenges.

“Our previous provider was not in a position to meet our growing demands, and when we came across a problem with a delivery, which was becoming a more frequent occurrence, the process to get this rectified could take a long time which was detrimental to our level of customer service we are able to provide,” Butler explains.

“Also, when looking for a new supplier we felt that some of the large logistics companies would not be able to offer us the level of partnership we desired, and some would only stock our products in a northern location. It was vital for us to have easy access to our stock and ideally wanted it near London, close to our shop in case we needed to replenish stock at short notice.”

Fullers recommended using one of its multi-user warehouse sites in Bordon and configured the space to meet Sprayground’s needs. The multi-user option also provides a flexible storage solution for Sprayground, so they can easily scale when there are spikes in demand and extend the space as the brand grows its presence in the UK.

Case Study: Third Party Logistics Solution for Pots & Co.

Fullers-pots-co-case-study

Fullers Logistics provides a tailored third party logistics solution to Pots & Co. which includes receipt, storage and “just-in-time” despatch of multiple types of packaging.

An integrated warehouse management system provides the client with complete visibility of stock volumes to ensure seamless production and onward distribution of luxury desserts.

Founded in 2012, Pots & Co. has gone from strength to strength making Michelin quality desserts, each prepared in special ceramic ramekins that can be effortlessly moved from fridge (to oven) to table.

Pots & Co. manufactures desserts at its UK production facility in West London and exports globally to Europe, the USA and Australia. The company has also been named by The Sunday Times as one of the “Top 10 Ones to Watch” in the 20th edition of its Fast Track list.

“After a sustained period of growth, we needed to find a logistics partner that could support the expansion of our operation. Fullers Logistics had an incredible reputation in the market for providing logistics solutions that complement a fast paced food manufacturing facility such as ours. They quickly proved they were an excellent choice.” Kate Johnson Purchasing & Logistics Manager Pots & Co. Ltd

Before engaging with Fullers Logistics, Pots & Co. kept all the packaging materials for its unique desserts at its production facility. However, the exceptional growth of the company quickly meant that space used for storage was becoming increasingly limited and was at risk of interfering with the manufacturing process.

Fullers worked closely with Pots & Co. to identify a suitable storage solution and outlined a process to ensure that the correct packaging including ceramic ramekins, lids and cardboard sleeves are delivered to the production facility just-in-time.

Fullers recommended one of its multi-user warehouses based in Slough to meet Pots and Co.’s individual needs. As well as the ability to store the different types of packaging required to make over a dozen desserts, the multi-user option provides a flexible storage solution for Pots & Co. that can be scaled to meet future demand.

“Fullers has an excellent understanding of our business needs. Their ability to react to our changing demands is a real benefit and has allowed us to increase capacity and engage with new clients for further growth. We trust Fullers and look forward to continuing our partnership.” Kate Johnson Purchasing & Logistics Manager Pots & Co. Ltd

Regular deliveries to the production facility ensure that Pots & Co. has the right packaging at the right time. This increases efficiency when packaging the finished puddings and preparing them for onward global distribution.

Using an integrated warehouse management system and barcode scanning technology Fullers can check goods in and out of the warehouse and is able to provide Pots & Co. with up-to-date and accurate visibility of packaging stock levels to guarantee production continuity.

A dedicated account manager at Fullers Logistics regularly and proactively reviews all aspects of the operations it undertakes for Pots & Co. to identify potential areas where further improvements can be made to improve efficiency and productivity.

Library of Fragrance chooses Fullers to provide tailored fulfilment & distribution

Fullers-library-of-fragrance-case-image

Fullers Logistics provides a tailored storage, handling & distribution service to The Library of Fragrance which includes goods in, storage, pick, pack and despatch.

When it comes to logistics, The Library of Fragrance is quite a complex brand. Imported from the USA, the product is a unique collection of colognes featuring over 100 different fragrances, available in multiple sizes. As well as being sold on its own – incredibly busy – e-commerce platform the brand is also stocked by selected high street retailers including Boots and Urban Outfitters.

Clare Rees, Director at Bell & Whistle Ltd – the UK Distributor for The Library of Fragrance explains; "With such a unique brand, we kept coming up against fairly unique logistics challenges that required lateral thinking and a degree of operational flexibility to solve. We needed to find a partner that could help us address these problems – that's when we found Fullers."

Fullers recommended using one of its multi-user warehouse sites and configured the space to meet The Library of Fragrance's unique needs. The multi-user option also provides a flexible storage solution for The Library of Fragrance that can easily scale as the brand grows to meet spikes in demand during busy gifting seasons such as Christmas and Valentine's Day.

As orders are received via the ecommerce site, products are picked, packed and distributed to the customer via Royal Mail. Volume orders placed by the brand's high street stockists are also picked, packed and shipped from the Fullers warehouse. A sophisticated warehouse management system provides the Library of Fragrance with 24/7 access to reports about stock movement & availability, enabling improved management across multiple sales channels.

“As part of our service we proactively review all aspects of the operations we undertake for clients to identify areas where we can improve productivity, increase efficiency and uncover cost savings,” comments Tony Dempsey, Managing Director at Fullers Logistics. “Upon engaging with The Library of Fragrance, it was soon discovered that the packaging being used was too large to fit through a letter box. We re-designed the packaging to achieve an immediate and significant saving on postal costs and also recommended sending packages via a "signed for" service. This has eliminated the 10% failed delivery rate and was just one of many service improvements offered by Fullers Logistics.”

Rees concludes, “Fullers provide an efficient service that offers our business good value. Our team at Fullers work productively & transparently and are always willing to explore new processes that are tailored to the specific requirements of the brand.”
