With 50 years in the industry, Lumene is one of the leading Scandinavian beauty brands and a pioneer in circular economy within the cosmetics industry. Their natural and sustainable products are made in Finland and include skincare and make up made with wildcrafted, sustainable ingredients such as Arctic spring water and Nordic lingonberries.

An opportunity for global expansion

The boom in the sustainable beauty industry, fuelled by phenomenal global social media reach, has expanded demand for Lumene’s products beyond the Nordic countries and across the rest of the world.

To optimise this window of opportunity and be a truly competitive brand in the international beauty ecommerce market, Lumene needed to be able to offer a streamlined customer experience.

Sustainable, customer-friendly, UK-based fulfilment required 

Shipping products to UK customers from Finland post-Brexit didn’t make it easy to accommodate the expectation for next day delivery, due to distance and customs procedures.

Additional miles travelled increased the risk of loss/breakage and did not fit with Lumene’s incredibly strong sustainable brand values. They aim to become carbon-neutral and use 100% recyclable packaging by 2025.

Growing and glowing, daily orders increasing significantly

Fullers Fulfilment became Lumene’s British fulfilment partner in 2022, providing greener, faster, more cost-effective cosmetics fulfilment from our hubs in the UK.

With our support, Lumene have been able to rapidly grow their brand in the UK. In just over six months, they have seen orders increase from just one order per day to over 50 orders per day.
