Here at Fullers Logistics, an end-to-end fulfilment service in Hampshire and Berkshire, we’re reflecting on how our business has developed over the past 12 months…
Fulfilment support for sustainable ecommerce companies
A report from Deloitte into sustainability and consumer behaviour in 2021 has revealed that ethical and sustainability issues remain a key driver for almost a third of consumers, who claim to have stopped purchasing certain brands due to related concerns.
As a result, many new green brands are entering the eCommerce market, growing and thriving. Online retailers from all sectors are seeking ways to be fairer in their trade and kinder to the earth.
Fullers Logistics has been delighted to welcome the following environmentally-friendly eCommerce brands into our portfolio in 2021:
Getting greener
61% of consumers say they have cut back on single-use plastic, encouraging online retailers to reduce waste.
More and more of Fullers’ clients are asking us about recyclable and sustainable packaging for their eCommerce orders – and we always recommend eco-friendly options.
We work closely with all of our clients to understand their packaging requirements, sourcing materials to match their ethics and practical needs. More compostable packaging is being used and we recycle as much as we can.
Our trusted network of worldwide couriers includes DPD, who are carbon-neutral and expanding their fleet of electric vehicles.
Royal Mail incorporates eCommerce deliveries into standard mail routes to minimise transport miles. The company is rolling out telemetry technology to an additional 11,000 small vans to encourage more fuel-efficient driving styles across the UK.

Award winning pet care clients are leading the pack
2021 has seen more pet ownership than ever. Increasing numbers of pets means more demand for petcare products.
Petcare eCommerce has become a major area of opportunity and we are delighted to be the fulfilment partner for both new and established brands in this sector. That includes giant brands such as Mars Petcare (Natusan, James Wellbeloved) as well as small and medium sized varieties, already winning best in show.
Frozzys won Product of the Year at the 2021 PetQuip Awards. VeggiePets/Vegeco was voted Most Ethical Petfood Brand by Ethical Consumer magazine. Well done to them!
Essential Foods is another pet care brand we’ve welcomed on board, as well as First Vet who have chosen to launch an online shop with Fullers as their fulfilment partner. We love to pick and pack for pets!
Navigating change and managing supply chain disruption
An increase in online shoppers has placed strain on a supply chain already negatively impacted by COVID-19, Brexit and a HGV driver shortage.
A dedicated team of experts has continued to support eCommerce businesses as we all navigate the changing terrain of multi-channel fulfilment and distribution together.
We take care of all customs requirements and keep the lines of communication open about any courier delays, so that our clients can keep their customers informed.
Always improving
Even after 58 years in the fulfilment business, we know that there is always more to learn. 2021 has strengthened our adaptability, refined our values and enhanced our knowledge.
We look forward to taking these positive developments into 2022 for the benefit of all our clients.
