Sharing these stories of success in the fulfilment and logistics industry demonstrates why Fullers Fulfilment is a company that so many SMEs want to work with, and people want to work for. More broadly, it highlights the variety of exciting job roles that make up the intricate web of fulfilment – one of the UK’s growth industries.

Danielle Hill is a Customer Services Supervisor, splitting her time between Fullers’ Bordon site and our newest multi-channel fulfilment centre in Leamington Spa. Get ready to find out why she’s one of our rising stars…

A gifted communicator

Why is customer care important at Fullers? Only by consistently nurturing our clients’ success do we keep proving why we are a leading fulfilment provider in the UK. Clear, timely and friendly communication is at the heart of the best ecommerce customer service Fullers prides itself on delivering – and Danielle exemplifies that.

This fulfilment customer service pro has honed her impeccable communication skills in the variety of client-facing jobs she has had in her career so far. She joined Fullers’ Bordon team in 2021, with a background in hospitality and sales.

In less than two years, she was promoted from a Customer Services Support Assistant to a Customer Services Supervisor. One look at positive feedback from one of our clients shows why:

“Danielle has done a wonderful job communicating with our US based team. Bumps along the way have been smoothed out quickly by Danielle, as she was always on top of making sure that issues with orders were followed through on in a prompt and timely manner." - Marc Barrer, Mishi Moto

Always learning and sharing knowledge

Glowing client feedback and promotions might lead some to rest on their laurels. Not Danielle. She’s always keen to get better and better by expanding her knowledge – and to share that learning and experience with others in the team.

The ecommerce boom led us to open a new site in Leamington Spa, and we knew Danielle was the right person to help train our new recruits due to her experience of working with Fullers customers from Bordon. She has also worked on the warehouse floor, so she knows about storage, picking and packing as well as administrative tasks.

Explaining her experience with training and development, Danielle says:

“My Bordon line manager has always been very encouraging about consistently training me on the latest systems and operational procedures. All that knowledge was indispensable during the Leamington Spa project and I was really excited to bring this across.

“When training others, I always like to first find out how they learn best. Practically or by taking notes? That allows me to tailor the training process to them. I find this engages them gives them confidence to ask the right questions.

“Knowing how to start a career in warehousing and fulfilment can be tough. Being able to assist new staff members as they start their own journey towards becoming an order fulfilment specialist has been incredibly rewarding.”

Absolute dedication – from daily duties to big projects

What does a customer services supervisor do each day? Day to day tasks for Danielle include dealing with warehousing customer service queries, order status updates, working with couriers to sort out issues such as damage and delays, and managing the investigation for refunds. Many customers consider her their ecommerce support specialist.

It’s a wonder she has time for much else, but that didn’t stop her taking on a crucial role when we opened a brand-new multi-channel fulfilment centre in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

The 30,000 sq. ft warehouse in Spa Park - the heart of the commercial district of Leamington Spa - will service about one hundred small to medium sized ecommerce businesses in and around the Midlands area.

We’ve already highlighted what a fount of knowledge Danielle is, but her role in the Leamington Spa project went beyond simply training new staff.

Mishimoto, the world leader in automotive performance cooling products, was Fullers’ first big account for Leamington Spa. Danielle was heavily involved in the onboarding of this important client and her understanding of our systems, combined with her hardworking attitude and customer service expertise, was pivotal.

During the onboarding stage and set up of the new facility, Danielle was so committed to ensuring a high level of customer care that she stayed overnight in Leamington Spa on various occasions to make sure everything was going to plan. Predominantly based in Bordon, she still visits Leamington Spa regularly.

Why Danielle loves working at Fullers Fulfilment

There are so many reasons why we value our employees and it’s important to us that the feeling is mutual, so our supportive managers check in with everyone regularly to make sure they’re happy and doing their best.

Here’s what Danielle said she values most about working at Fullers:

“Team morale here is fantastic. I enjoy the camaraderie between all our customer services teams in Bordon, Slough and Leamington Spa and with all our diligent warehouse operatives. We all have great relationships with our customers too and perceive them as partners – working together towards a shared goal of quick, efficient picking, packing and the successful delivery of every order.

“New starters sometimes ask me, “Can you easily progress in a fulfilment career?” and I always answer with a resounding “YES!” because my experience with Fullers has been so positive.”
